A bloggertarian acknowledgment

It’s a slightly revised version of a draft that was posted a few weeks ago here and elsewhere. A humane friend asked me to remove the bit that urged signatories to blow their own brains out, and I’ve done so, though mainly because one or two people may be prepared to circulate it more widely without it. I’ve added a few bits, moved the odd errant apostrophe etc, but it’s mostly unchanged.

Please do circulate it to anyone who you think has a few questions to answer. One thing though? Could you us know - in the comments below - if there are any bloggers that you think should sign it? I ask this because I think it underlines our Will’s regular point that there is no point in trying to win arguments, and that appealing to fear works better than appealing to reason.

In the last few weeks, I’ve not seen one admission from any Thatcherite or bloggertarian that perhaps - just perhaps - they’ve been a tad mistaken about this whole dependency culture business.
