    To be fair, I would point out that the presence of pedophiles is the downside of any institution that is given reverence with a coinciding access to children. There is a higher incidence of pedophilia among priests and teachers than say, tax accountants.

    It is fairer and more accurate to say that chauvanistic advocacy for co-religionists, even to the point of subverting justice and poplar law, is the dark underside of organized religious and philisophical hierarchies.
