Post-Marxist car crash ahead, Part 2

by graeme, 5 April 2008

I know all of you have spent a sleepless past couple of weeks racking your brains trying to figure out why exactly the Furedi cultists have been so worked up about criticisms of China.  Wonder no more.  The so-called Institute of Ideas is hosting a one-day conference titled “The Battle For China” as a part of the China Now festival.  China Now, according to its own website, “was conceived by the business community” and intends to “strengthen business relations and partnerships between the UK and China.”  Though the conference’s programme is forthcoming, there are no points awarded for guessing the general thrust of it.  These people truly are scum.

*You’re a clever enough bunch to figure out how to Google links–I’m not giving these fuckers the traffic.

“Living Marxism accused ITN of distorting the truth about Bosnia. Now, it faces ruin after losing the ensuing libel battle. Ed Vulliamy , who filed the first reports on the horrors of the Trnopolje camp, explains why an unholy alliance of Serb apologists and misguided intellectuals had to be defeated in court”

I know the “Poison In The Well of History” article very well, but didn’t know the first one. It is excellent, and illustrates exactly the kind of scum we’re up against.
