Ayman Al-Zawahiri shows the takfiri roots which enable him to justify the murder of anyone, including innocent Muslims, who get in the way of Al Qaeda’s objectives:

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb has been given a green light from the second man in Al-Qaeda Organization Ayman Al-Zawahiri in terms of pursuing suicide attacks method against civilian and security targets.
Al-Zawahiri said civilians being killed in suicide attacks in Algeria are human shields.

It’s a point worth re-iterating over and over again. Al Qaeda murder more Muslims than any other faith group, and they oppose many of the institutions that liberals hold in such high esteem. They have no political programme of worth, other than the blood they are prepared to spill on the way to their utopia.
