The woman with the righteous gob on her is Wafa Sultan, a psychiatrist of Syrian origin who lives now in Los Angeles, and is a naturalised US citizen. May I live to see the day when Dr Sultan and others like her can speak thus while sitting in a TV studio in Riyadh.

This is a little off-topic, but since you’ve turned this into an open thread/rant…
Brian Sedgemore used to employ his wife Audrey as his secretary, and she used to be a highly-flying silk in Barbados! So it’s not as if she was, like our dear friend Henry Deadbudgie, milking the taxpayer for a little pocket money while up at Cambridge.
There is nothing wrong with MPs using their staffing allowance to employ family members as long as it’s completely up-front, and can be challenged by constituency party members and the public.
In Brian’s case, one of the reasons why he was such an effective constituency MP is that Audrey was a brilliant organiser, and worked hard to keep her sometimes vague husband together and on-message.

CNN last week (Inside the Middle East) had a feature on the fearless (genuinely) female journo who brought the saudi gang rape case to international attention.
I cannot access the CNN site at the moment without taking the next 3 hours,and I’ve forgotten her name (sorry), but she did have a Che poster on her wall at her office, and one of them iconic 40’s womens working war effort posters.
