In a wretched display of southern me-tooism, there are proposals afoot to create an ‘Angel of the South‘ sculpture in Kent. The work is to be twice the size of (and half as good as) Antony Gormley’s iconic Angel of the North in Gateshead. When asked by Five News what form the new sculpture should take, Tyneside residents suggested:
- a pound sign
- a lager top

Fuck off! Kent is a great place, and there’s nowt more wrong with Kentish folk than there is with Geordies.
Ebbsfleet is no more than a London railway station located outside the M25, put there as the powers that be couldn’t be arsed to upgrade the infrastructure all the way into the city.

Does anyone else think the Angel Of The North is an ugly big lump. Out of proportion and, well, a bit stumpy. I’m not that bothered what they build in Kent, as long as it isn’t another Gormley.

Can they not just seal Gormless into the next body cast and leave him there?
