Spiked? More like creepy fucking LaRouchies

Nice stuff from Atilla the Whore in comments here (ignore the rest — it’s the usual gang of dipshit trolling freaks, bastards and loonies).
…the RCP are what Marxist-Leninists call ’social chauvinists’ — backers of ‘their own nation’s imperialism’ against ‘foreign imperialisms’. During the Yugoslav wars, they took the side of John Major’s Britain against Germany, over the question of whether to recognise Croatia’s independence, and the side of Major’s Britain against the US opposition, over the question of whether to lift the arms embargo on the Bosnians. They were lavish in their condemnations of Germany and the US while virtually silent on British policy.
They also supported Thatcher’s line on opposing sanctions vs Apartheid South Africa. And like the Tory government, they attempted to squelch publicity of the Rwandan genocide, the occurrence of which they denied. Long ago, they condemned Western critics of the Sudanese regime as ‘the new crusaders’. Their ‘anti-imperialism’ involves supporting friendly relations between the West and murderous dictators, without allowing morality to get in the way. Hence their preference for Tory over Blairite foreign policy.
Much as I loathe and despise the SWP, I have to admit they’re not as bad as the RCP, who are simply evil. As well as being postmodernists.
Oh yes, they also claim that rape is not a particularly traumatic crime for the victim, but is only made so as a result of ‘media hype’. Nasty, nasty people…
What strikes me particularly is that they (LM/Spiked/RCP) are expert at the very process that they have recently been claiming was harmless for fascists — and consequently make great personal gains and exposure as a result. They find platforms everywhere — from Channel 4, The Times, The Moral Maze, etc and now — for fuck’s sake — Jewcy and Engage (ok — Engage is a favourable link-to only — but still — I expect more cleanliness). These fucking fruitloops are everywhere. There is plenty of material online and elsewhere on what they are like (dangerous, weirdo, crackpot tossers in essence). I think that what is needed is a concerted campaign to deny them their platforms and start a process of deligitimisation. Just kicking them off Jewcy and Engage will be a start though. Let’s make that start.

Oh yes indeed — a lot of fuckers need to check themselves.

Just left this comment at Engage in response to an idiot fucking twat. Let’s see if it gets published — they have a comment thingy going on…so it might not…
“Your enemy’s enemy is not your friend.
I thought you lot got that?
Oh well — more fuckwits to attack.
Sorry for the language academic knackers. Fuck me — you lot are as precious as Paris Hilton — ever heard of her?
Titheads.”
Let’s not forget that Engage also once posted an approving link to the well known cunt Richard Littlejohn’s crap — he’s very suitable for anti-fash shit he is. Not. Subsequently taken down because it was pointed out that he was basically a moron - and scum.
Too many people are too idiotic — I haven’t the time to deal with such shit on my own.

Attila is trying to sound like a fancy lad who knows a lot about the left, what with dropping the “social-chauvinist” line, but the RCP have been pretty consistently against all British imperialism, which led to them being pro-IRA, pro-Argentina, etc. Accusing them of backing their own nation’s imperialism is nonsense, but what do you expect from a kook who sees a Serb around every corner. (They’re not postmodernists either, but that’s one of those things you can fling out there to show your enemies are evil wimps, I guess.)
The idea of denying Mick Hume et al. platforms would be scary (imagine a world where the far right of acceptable political opinion was Oliver Kamm, and the far left Jim Denham!) if it had any likelihood of succeeding, but thankfully it’s just a rant on a pro-war ‘left’ blog.
(Also worth pointing out your Decent comrade David Aaronovitch has attended the RCP’s annual debate thingy two years in a row. Maybe next time he can smuggle Nick Cohen and Oliver Kamm in under his coat and unleash them on the heretics.)

Spiked? It should be.

I don’t think it’s correct to think of them as social chauvinists. It would be slightly more accurate to describe them as “humanists in one country”. Ie their anti-imperialism—which is of a pretty standard rerun-Leninist variety except that, in contrast to the rather ahistorical version of the SWP and the STWC, they are aware that, for Lenin, anti-imperialism was conceived as an essential political tool on the immediate run-up to socialism—completely reproduces and submits itself to the outlines of the capitalist nation state system, giving rise a weird “it is useless to help anyone, you only make things worse” kind of argument, which contains, to my ears, lamentable “Randian” and “inevitabilist” elements.
But I think they are right on a few things—that globalisation is more good than bad for humankind, and that (some kinds of) environmentalism contain a strong misanthropic charge. That said, the post and comments on here on the latter topic the other day were well made: that their criticism of environmentalism restricts itself to the rather abstract philosophical/ sociological speculation in which Furedi specialises, and they never seem to confront any actual scientific data. It seems probable, for instance, that certain kinds of environmentalist have pushed a reactionary agenda on the basis of information about environmental degradation that is true.

There’s no point in trying to understand what motivates and informs Furedi cultists. They’re all nihilists.

No they deny it and rubbish it, as they do with other inconvenient facts, such as genocide. They take a position that might have some support and win them a hearing, then they twist it beyond its original meaning. So they start with pointing to elements of misanthropy in Green politics, as many others have done, and then stretch it to global warming denial. Don’t be taken in by the initial statement, what matters is the conclusion. This is why they should not be portrayed as part of a respectable mainstream.

More later but for now –
“Decent comrade David Aaronovitch”
A slimey, obsequious, full of platitude having servile wankstainer. Not my comrade. Not at all. I find him not to my tastes. Mostly an apologist for the worst aspects of Blairism and ‘new-labourism’. A Bit of a simpleton really.
Things people say and the things people attribute to you — blimey — some would say they had an agenda.
PS. I think CH is one of them RCP cultists.

For the record — Engage have not allowed my latest comment through their ridiculous comment moderation.
So here it is:
I note you didn’t post my response to your last piece of nitwittery.
You vile person.
Here it is again…I try once more to get through to you thick contemptible idiot.
“So that’s it then — you are happy to post links to people who have denied genocide in Rwanda ever took place, who think that owning and passing on kiddie porn is a matter of ‘free speech’, who actively sided with, and acted as apologists for murderous Serb fascist scum and just recently have been propagandising in favour of Irving and the BNP while claiming anyone who opposes giving the Nazi BNP a platform are ‘totalitarian’?
Carry on then.
One mistake is forgivable (posting a link to Richard Littledick) - doing the same with these dead-meat-muttering-balls-merchants means you lot are just playing games (and are as stupid as those who you supposedly oppose).”
The end.

PS. I also think David Hirsh (Engage editor) is a biological determinist devoid of a single political bone in his body.
By the way — ’bout time he replied to Hakmao’s email. Oh — he is a busy academic with too much to do — unlike the rest of us who only work for a living! Spineless basically. What a chump. Much like the rest of them.
